Krytox GPL 203 is low viscosity grease. It provides great sound dampening, and provides butter smooth consistency of key switches.
Krytox GPL 203 grease is a white buttery grease with all of the same properties as the Krytox GPL 103 oil that it is are made from, but it is in a grease form. It is based on perfluoropolyether (PFPE) oils and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)-thickened, contains no additives.
Krytox oils and greases deliver superior performance with advanced features of high-temperature stability, nonflammability, and chemical and biological inertness. Krytox lubricants will not carbonize or form gummy deposits that typically cause failures, nor will they evaporate.
Due to their inert nature, Krytox lubricants provide a much longer usable life as compared to typical hydrocarbon oils and greases; and longer usable life allows them to remain for considerable periods of time before needing to be replaced, if they are replaced at all. That translates to savings over time, both by lowering the amount of lubricant purchased and any downtime incurred during re-lubrication. Therefore, maintenance costs can be significantly reduced.
Krytox GPL 203 grease does not damage plastics or elastomers nor cause corrosion of metals. They are commonly used as lubricants in aerospace, automotive, industrial and semiconductor applications as well as in solving many other routine lubrication problems. Krytox oils and greases are silicone-free. They do not contain any VOC materials or chlorine and are not hazardous to the atmosphere or ozone layer. They are biologically and environmentally inert.
Krytox GPL 203 grease is the product of choice in extreme temperature conditions. Most petroleum products begin to degrade above 99 °C and are too viscous at temperatures just below –18 °C. Under the D-3336 test conditions of 177 °C and 10,000 RPM, the majority of competing hydrocarbon lubricants fails in less than 1,000 hours. But, the general purpose line of Krytox lubricants has been shown to last over 5,000 hours without fail, even at an increased temperature of 200 °C. This extreme condition, performance is what distinguishes Krytox performance lubricants from other competing products.
Krytox performance lubricants are not only resistant to oxygen, but they are also inert to virtually all chemicals used in a variety of industries. They are insoluble in most solvents, but are soluble in highly fluorinated fluids and some super critical fluids, such as CO2. At elevated temperatures and pressures, PFPE oils are highly resistant to attack by gaseous and liquid oxygen.
A: Yes, it will separated under certain condition; idle long time, high heat environment, and inconsistence surface of grease when storing. However, separation is very normal for grease. Mix it back the base oil, and you are ready to use.
A: Greases tend to bleed and release their base oils during storage. The rate of oil released from the grease will increase with time and vary based on the temperature at which it is stored. Ideally, grease should be stored in a cool, dry indoor area that does not exceed 30°C and remains above 0°C.
A: Lubricating Grease will packaged in small transparent cream container, with screw cap and sealed with Parafilm, and wrap with bubble wrap / corrugated box.
